I worked in a group to produce short film around 7 years ago. And back then I wasn't in-charge of the scripts, so I did not really learn a proper script writing process.
In my research and study about screenwriting, I learned that screenwriting helps the video production team to communicate effectively by letting the actors or actresses have an overview of who appear and where, when, and what should the actor or actress do in different scene.
There's quite some standard practice and format to follow during screenwriting. Then I came across quite a few similar keywords that sometimes confused me, there are people who use screenplay, scripts, screenwriting to term the process.
After consulting tutor, I continue research on the screenwriting format and come across few useful URL:

In the midst of research, I came across a free screenwriting software, Adobe Story as a tool for pre-production project management allowing user to tryout it's trial version. In order to get an overall understanding of pre-production process, I try to learn Adobe Story by checking out how others have used it from youtube tutorials and also Adobe tutorial site.
